Welcome to Troop 6
Since 1969, Troop 6 has been an integral part of Meadow Vista,
a community nestled in the Sierra Foothills between the North Fork of the American River and the Bear River.

Weekly Troop meetings are Monday nights at Faith Lutheran Church, 1115 Combie Road, Meadow Vista, CA 95722. Meetings begin at 7:00 pm and conclude around 8:30 pm.

If you want fun and exciting outdoor activities then you have come to the right place! Camping, hiking, backpacking, cycling, shooting, fly fishing and anything else that has to do with the outdoors is what Troop 6 is all about. After all..."there is no Scouting without outing.

A part of the Golden Empire Council and Gold Country District, Troop 6 has a full calendar of enjoyable and educational activities including the annual Camporee, Summer Camp and Klondike Derby, along with many day hikes and overnight camping trips.

Troop 6 would like to be sure to thank our charter organization, the Meadow Vista Lions Club for their continued support.

Anyone interested in joining a fun and active boy-led troop is encouraged to attend one of our meetings.

See you there!!!

What is a Boy Scout?

     From its inception, the mission of the Boy Scouts of America  was and is to prepare our young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law and by putting into practice the Scout Slogan of "Do a Good Turn Daily". Troop 6 strives to follow that mission today.

Scout Oath

On my honor I will do my best
to do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
to help other people at all times;
to keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.

Scout Law

A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful,
friendly, courteous, kind, obedient,
cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent
